about the march

This is a beautiful out and back course through Riverside State Park in Spokane, WA. It begins at the 7 Mile military training area, and continues east along the Centennial Trail, bordered by the Spokane River. The course is fully supported, and lined with 350+ banners honoring post 9/11 Fallen Heroes from the Pacific Northwest.

Whether you ruck it, run it or walk it, it's a very memorable experience!

Teams and Individuals are all welcome.

This year's competitive distance option will be the original 15.6km ruck,

in honor of the 156 KIA from WA State at the time the March started.

Participants can also choose to walk, run or ruck a 5, 10 or 15k.

Awards will be given for Best Team Time, Heaviest Combined Team Weight, Heaviest Individual Weight (M/F), Best Individual Time (M/F) and Most Patriotic (people and dogs!). Team members must start and finish together to be eligible for awards, and if packs are carried they will be weighed at the start and finish.  Ruck March participants are encouraged to weight their packs with food which will be donated to NewbyGinnings of North Idaho.

Registration for 2023's March for the Fallen is $30 and will include a shirt, personalized dog tags and BBQ for all participants.

Those completing the 15.6k ruck will also receive a commemorative patch.

There are discounts for kids & teams!

If you prefer a virtual option, just mark that on your registration and we'll mail your items to you!
