It's Almost Time!!

The forecast says sunny and 82 for Saturday, and we can’t wait to see you for 2023’s March for the Fallen!

But first, here are some important things to know:

Packet Pickup
Thursday, September 7th, 12 - 6pm, Army Recruiting,

15319 E Indiana Ave, Spokane Valley

Benefits to packet pickup:

No line for personalized dog tags

(start thinking about what you want it to say).
Extra time to personalize bibs if you’re running in remembrance of someone.
First pick of Girl Scout cookies!

Packet pickup (and late registration) will also be available from 7:45-8:30am Saturday, September 9th, so share with your friends if they missed it!


Event Day
Saturday, September 9th, Riverside State Park, Seven Mile Trailhead  

Coming from Spokane:

Head northwest on Francis Ave/291/Nine Mile Rd

Turn left on Seven Mile Rd

Cross the river and turn left on Riverside Park Dr

Seven Mile Trailhead will be ¼ mile down on your right


Flags will be posted at each turn, and please note, a Discover Pass is required in all State Parks.

Please arrive in time to weigh in your packs if needed, grab a snack, buy a few raffle tickets, make a dog tag, warm up on the climbing wall, check out the historic vehicles, vote for your favorite team name and join us for Opening Ceremonies! 

Opening Ceremony will start @ 8:45am 
March begins @ 9:11am
Award Ceremony @ noon
Raffle drawings @ 12:30pm


*Gold Star family members, if you’d like to ride into the Opening Ceremony with the Combat Vet Riders, please reply and let us know.

Available all day:  Current and historic military vehicles, the National Guard’s climbing wall, the Franz Grilled Cheese Machine, amazing raffles, military resource providers, dog tags, pullup contest, a free BBQ (starting at 10am), a beer garden for those of age, lawn games and much more!

And don’t forget, we have awards for the most patriotic adult, kid and furry friend, so start planning how you’ll show us your Stars & Stripes!

Yes, dogs are welcome but must be leashed per Park regulations.

The Routes:  We will have 5, 10 and 15.6k routes marked, lined with fallen hero banners, and supported with water stations, thanks to the Girl Scouts. You can do whatever length you feel comfortable with. The further you go the more Heroes you’ll see along the way.

Competitive Participants:  You’ll love this year’s patch!!  

Pack *weigh-in will be from 7:45am - 8:30am.  To be eligible for awards, minimum pack weight is 35lbs and you must complete the 15.6k. If participating as a team, you must start and finish together.  *Please note, packs will be weighed at start and finish.

Food makes great weight and will be donated to NewbyGinnings after the March.  All are welcome to bring food items to donate.  Please check their facebook page for a list of current needs.
